TOPIC: Multiple installs for multiple languages?

Would it be possible for me to simply slightly modify the component code so that I could install it multiple times and thereby support multiple languages?

Wouldn't each install use the same database tables and function as one?

Would there be interference between them if simultaneous payments were made or anything?

I have a hunch this would work, but I didn't code the component so I gotta ask if its safe.

Just noticed your post. I am about to do a multi-language project with DT Register. If you check the features page http://www.dthdevelopment.com/joomla-components/dt-register-event-registration-for-joomla.html for the component, bullet 14 lists Falang http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/languages/multi-lingual-content/18210 compatibility. I will try to remember to post back to this thread with how it goes. I would think this is a better setup than multiple installs. :
