TOPIC: [SOLVED] Issue with event registration

After upgrading DT Register to 2.8.18 (Joomla version is 2.5.28), I cannot complete event registration. The component allows to enter event, to start registration, displays a verification page, but when the Next button is clicked, a white page is displayed.

The error message is as followed: Fatal error: Call to undefined method JSession::getData() in /home/...../administrator/components/com_dtregister/lib/dtcart.php on line 24

Could somebody help me to find any solution for this issue?

This was answered in your ticket, but I'll put it here too for others that may run into this.

As Joomla 2.5 is already way beyond it's end of life, and they do not provide updated packages anymore... there WAS a major security issue found a few months ago that affected session handling. They made a patch available for the end of life packages...

The changes made required changes in DT Register. So you need to apply this patch to Joomla or the current 2.5 package of DT Register will not work.
