TOPIC: How to remove Delete function from front-end records management

HELP! I need to remove the DELETE function from Front-End Records Management (control-panel?controller=usermanage). How can I accomplish this?

I mean, besides commenting out those portions of the component code ... (which, unfortunately, I ended up doing, so I need to retrofit this each time there is an update)

It would be a great enhancement to be able to toggle the availability of each of the front-end control panel functions, as well as the buttons on each of the controllers, either by permissions or by configuration.
