TOPIC: discount code issue

We has setup a discount code which seems to work fine except for Group Registration. Under the discount code he has it set for the following:

Active in Group Registration for: [x] Each Member

And this seems to work fine, except that the discount code field is also appearing on the group registration billing page where it shouldn't be. If you try to apply the discount code to the field the system reports an error saying:

This code is not valid for this type of registration. I need to remove this from the billing area

I've checked and double checked my settings and this discount code should not be appearing on the billing page. Anyone experience this?
