How do we create events with multiple days that skips day in between and how does that effect registration.

Example
We want to create a word class which is on March 17th and march 19th.
When we create it using just the start and finish option the students think the class is March 17th, March 18th and March 19th .
When we use the repeating option it create separate events so now when some on registers it looks like two events. so students now have to register for the same event twice which is very confusing to them
any sugesstions

There is no way to setup the event with a break in the timeframe like that. Are you using the event list view or the calendar view?

Ok but that seems kinda odd since most colleges will run class on alternate days. this software has a lot of great extra features you would think that would be done before any others.

What about a field in the new event called Day so We could at least manually put in march 17, 19, 21 for example. Any way to do that

We are using list view but no current view would solve the problem. Can we some how add a field to the event creation area

Like I said, there's no way to setup the event on split dates. Using the list view, you just need to setup the full date range then use the event description area... and/or a details article... and/or the message area above the registration form... to give further info on specific dates and times.

People do this all the time. You can even set the date to NOT show in the list view if you feel it will confuse people. You could even put your dates in as part of the event title. We've seen some people prefer that direction. Lots of options here though...

Yes, changes could be made for setting up the event with multiple dates, but that is a significant modification, much more than you'd imagine that would require changes just about everywhere.

In the event setup towards the top of the Messages tab. You setup your message (with the WYSIWYG editor) and enable it.
