Hi Guys

Here's an odd one. We have one event set up paying through PayPal that is sending out both the default emails to the client and admin, and then another event that will send out NO emails either default or specific to the event (if enabled). Any thoughts?

Thanks

This would have to be setup related. In the event on the email tab, do you have the custom email sender enabled (a provided custom from name and from email)? If so, disable that. You may be trying to send those event emails from an address that your mail server is not liking.

My setup is suddenly being hacked - what's going on? All the setting sin configuration have returned to the default setting on installation!!

Hi Nathan

Is there anyway that 'we' could have accidently reset the configuration to default?

Anyway back as it should be and the emails are still not going out (either default or custom email address) - nor is the "resend thanks email" going.

THis is very odd as we're having no trouble with the 'dummy' event we set up to test with and the settings are identical!

There is no "Reset" of the config parameters. Someone would have to be changing your settings.

You'll need to submit a ticket with admin access so we can take a look. DT Register doesn't pick and choose which events it wants to send emails for :) so it has to be something getting in the way.

Cheers Nathan, I'm going to try a re-install first to see if that works, I've already got backups of the changes to files and images. Will contact you via ticket with log in details if this doesn't work. Bill

This issue was tracked down through a ticket, but for the sake of anyone else reading it...

The problem ended up being the user's mail server was blocking the sending of the emails due to the content of the email subject. ;)
