Hi, I've got a J 2.5.x site that I just upgraded to the latest version (2.8.9b) from an older version, 2.8.5b.
The reason for my upgrade was that I could not add a new location in 2.8.5b... (I was also not able to delete locations).
After upgrading to 2.8.9b, I am now able to add a new location, but I cannot delete a location that was entered in the site before upgrading.
Has the database structure changed...? Does the Location management area "check" for any events that are using that particular location before deleting? In other words, do I have to delete all of my events at a particular location before I can delete that location?
There have been location changes, yes, and you may need to open and re-save your locations. However, it has ALWAYS not allowed you to delete a location if there are events that have it selected.
So if you need to delete a location, you'll have to delete any events that use that location... or just de-select that location within the event. Remember, deleting an event will also delete records for that event.
