I read another post that in a round about way sounded like DTRegister was responsive. The board admin said they did not test on every template (understandable) and the user said they use Artisteer (no faith in that junk program myself) and that there was no testing done on it.

I am using the YooTheme WARP 7.1 framework and have loaded DTRegister in it and I can confirm that it is in fact not responsive in this framework. I then tried it on RocketTheme and Joomla Art frameworks as well as several others and sorry to say it was not responsive in any of them. So my question is what frameworks has it been tested in?

In the end a straight answer would be best, "IS DTRegister responsive"? I do not see where a yes can be handed out for this so the real question then becomes "is there any plan to make DTRegister responsive"?

DT Register is not setup TECHNICALLY for responsive layouts and we've never stated otherwise. However, the event listing, registration forms, etc WILL display dynamically in the space that is available so as far as we can see, it should be fine in the vast majority of templates. For example, load a default Joomla template... and as you decrease the width of your browser, the DT Register forms will restructure their display to fit in the available display. The list of events will do the same although there's a limit to the flexibility on the filters and such above the list, depending on how many you use and the size of them on your site. The calendar will have a limit too, but DOES still have a dynamic width.

I agree... Artisteer is NOT a recommended tool. We are certainly not fans of the templates that it creates.

We have no immediate plans on making such modifications as it has not been a pressing item. This is probably the 2nd time only that we've even been asked about it. This is probably because the display is flexible enough that it's not being an issue for other users. If it ends up becoming more of a concern or problem area, then we'll certainly dig into it further.

Feel free to send us one of your responsive templates that you feel DT Reg is not displaying well in and we can check it out.

Nathan is no longer affiliated with DTH since the recent acquisition. You can connect with him and get any type of Joomla website help at www.JoomlaEmployee.com .

Thanks for getting back to me, I know it will become an issue sooner rather than later. Since all the frameworks support it it makes sense that you would at least consider this regardless of the requests. However I will make any necessary changes in an over ride to correct for any issues I have.

Thanks again... ;)
