TOPIC: Looking for DTH developer

Hi.
I manage a website for my ski club and we use DTRegister. We need someone to write some code for us: we need to create a front-end capability to allow our trip leaders to create and update records for participants on the ski trips they are managing. They should not be allowed to edit any records except for the trip that is assigned to them.

This all works great on the back-end but a) we don't want to give access to the back-end to our trip coordinators, and b) we don't want them to be able to mess up other trips

Lynda, you should already be able to accomplish this with a Control Panel menu item. Then with permissions in DT Reg, you can setup users to only have access to their own events... and they can manage (including adding) records for their events.

Thanks for the suggestion, but could you be more specific? I don't know about Control Panel menu items.....

This is pretty much exactly what we're trying to do here and we are at the stage of not understanding User Panel at all.

There's nothing here really to figure out. Go to create a Joomla menu item... select DT Register... then select "Control Panel" from the menu options under DT Register. This is no different than the menu item you've likely created for the calendar or list of events.
