TOPIC: Turning from JEvents sync to Article Events Details

Hi all,
I would like any opinions ideas on the following...
We use DT Register with JEvents sync. Now we want to remove Jevents and start using DT with Articles.
What is the best way to make this transition, as there are always running events... We should first create articles for all current events and then change all options in DT to link to the articles instead of JEvents ?

Moreover, I would like your input in the following. Many events have and will have the same Title. So, there will be created many articles with the same title under the same content category. Won't this mess the situation in the article manager and the links of the site ? Is it also possible to have negative effects in google ?
How do you use DT Register with Articles descriptions ?
