TOPIC: Issues with the Select Individual / Group Screen...

I'm on latest and greatest version of DT Reg... 2 glitches to draw to your attention (in trying to find a work-around for the first, I was frustrated by the second!)

1) If you have an event where the user has to first pick if they are registering as individual or group, then the text that you can set to show above an event's registration screen's doesn't show until you get past this initial screen.... I use this text to convey key info that helps the person decide if they want to register or not - so I really need it on this first screen and surely it should be there?

2) If you set an event to Group Reg only but with minimum group size of 1 (as was introduced in recent DT Reg as a way of skipping the above screen), then the first screen you see starts with 'MEMBER 2 INFO' - even though it's Member 1.....

I might not be understanding fully number 1, but you might be able to take care of that with a web page before registration begins.

On number 2, I have seen this, but only when I am directly jumping from an incomplete registration from one event to another separate event registration. The browser seems to be remembering a bit too much and passing session information when I do this. If I start out clean into a registration, I don't see the issue.

I understand what andybon is asking in #1 as I would benefit being able to edit this page as well.

When a user clicks "Register" from a menu item this is the screen that appears and having a blurb above the Individual / Group selection buttons would be very beneficial. It would help streamline the number of clicks we expect a user to make before registering.

Any thoughts, or even creative workarounds like manipulating the core pages that render this screen, greatly welcomed!

As a quick follow up, I did find where the images for Individual and Group are which allows you to customize them and therefore add text on the image to help guide the visitor.

components > com_dtregister > assets > images > individual.jpg/group.jpg

I saved a backup of the files first then edited them to meet my needs and uploaded them to the server.

I did not play with the size of the images to see if I could make them bigger than they are, therefore allowing for more space for text.

One obvious downside is that these images would be used for all events in the future. In my case I am using DTRegister for only one event at a time so it is OK.

Hi Andy.

My initial impression is that there could be a jquery conflict. Check to make sure that no other plugins or your template is compressing and replacing jquery files.

Thanks Rich - Is your theory relating to both points (1) and (2) above? I had assumed (1) was the default DTH Reg behaviour which would benefit from a quick fix, but are you saying that normally that extra info does show up on the 'Individual' or 'Group' select page?
