I have an event set to generate a unique confirmation number per attendee. When adding an attendee to an existing group registration from the Administrative side, the new attendee receives a confirmation number identical to the first member of the group. Any way around this on the Admin side?
Added Note: This happens when the registrant edits an existing registration and adds new members as well. Not a good thing but perhaps it is just something wrong with my system.
We saw this post as we were wrapping up our 2.8.2 package update. We verified it was an issue... fixed it... and included it in the update. Download 2.8.2 and you'll find this is fixed. Thanks!
I updated the support ticket but I would figure I would let others know just in case the below described behavior develops for them as well under 2.8.2
I updated to 2.8.2... I cleared my test records and started over. The duplication of confirmation numbers per member seemed to go away. However I found a couple of things. As a logged in user, I edited a registration by adding a member, but BEFORE you select the 'Edit Billing' to complete option you see the list of members including the one you just added. If you go back into the one you just added because you see a spelling error for example, make your change, then select 'Edit Billing' to complete the registration, it just takes you out to the user panel and your changes are not saved. AT THAT POINT, if you RE-ADD an additional registrant, the sequential confirmation numbering breaks and it reverts back to assigning the original number for that group. Furthermore, it then appears to break this for all other events as well if they are edited after the fact. I am using one logged in user that independently registered users for multiple events, then edited each event group registration by adding a user to the group for that event all with the pay later option.
