TOPIC: Trouble getting things set up

I just purchased DT Register and have installed the component and other relevant modules and plugins on a site with an up to date version of Joomla 2.5. I've solved some problems by reading posts on this forum, but there are some issues I can't seem to fix:

* The calendar page shows a blank box where the calendar should be, with a permanent "Loading Data..." message.

* If I try to register for an event as an individual, I can't get past the "Please check the data below and confirm" page. Pressing the Next Step button does nothing.

* If I try to register a group, pressing the Complete Group button just gives me a blank screen to add another member.

Any help with these issues would be much appreciated.

Hello! You clearly have a script conflict on your site. Without seeing your site, I have no idea exactly where it's coming from, but check:

- Any script or JQuery compression / replacing being done by a "feature" in your template.

- Any 3rd party plugin that is compressing or replacing scripts (specifically JQuery) through your site. Plugins like JQuery Easy or JB Library and common sources of this... but there are many others... or the GCalendar system plugin also defaults to loading it's own version of JQuery and removing all others. It can be set to load only for GCalendar.

Something like this will be the source of every problem you stated. Essentially, something is removing important scripts of DT Register that simply can't be allowed to happen. Those "features" will need disabled or modified if possible so they at least stay out of DT Register directories and files.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am not using any of the extensions you listed as potential culprits. I thought it might be the theme (from Rocket Themes) I was using, but I tried switching to one of the Joomla default themes and the same issues still occur.

I will start working through the extensions I have installed to try to narrow down where the problem might lie.

There are other extensions that do those same type of things. Just named some of the more common ones. If you can't find it, submit a ticket with access to your site and we'll check it out.
