TOPIC: Could clicking on details give lightbox description?

Hi,

I tried searching in the forum but the words 'event' and 'details' were apparently too common!

I'm using J2.5.6 and version 2.7.18b of DT Register. Great manual and very intuitive dashboard by the way, well done

I've set up a test event and found it all pretty straightforward this far. I find it a little odd that event details have to be written as a Joomla article (is that right?) but if that's the way it is, then so be it!

Anyway, clicking on 'Details' takes you to that article and I would have thought might confuse some users? Yes - they just have to click the 'back' button, but would it be possible to offer a lightbox option for the article.

To save lots of extra coding, perhaps this could be done in tandem with NoNumbers excellent Modalizer plugin:

The event details are setup to be in an article, yes. However, the user doesn't have to go back to the event listing. Install and enable our EventLink plugin and a large Register button will automatically be added to the bottom of that details article. You can also manually insert the plugin code to put the button in a specific place in the article if you wanted to.

Displaying it in a lightbox would take some customization. We can certainly consider building that in as an option.

I just wondered with the Modalizer plugin, whether you might save yourself lots of work as when you used to have to have JEvents installed and then I guess you built your own calendar!

You can display the details article in a lightbox using the Modalizer plugin. When you create an event in DT Register, use the following code in the event title:
{modal}Eventtitle{/modal}

Replace Eventtitle with your title.
