I've got a membership website that is using version 2.7.16 of DT Register to handle conference registrations - and it's working sweetly!
The only problem is that when PayPal is selected as the payment method, the client's account is a Dutch one and so when the user is passed to PayPal to make their payment, the screen comes up in Dutch, but the client would like it to be in English.
I had a similar problem on the same site when using the membership plug-in "Community Builder", but that has a specific field where you can select PayPal's default language and once configured that solves the problem.
Does DT Register offer the same functionality to force a default language or is it simply not possible at the moment?
There is no configuration in DT Register for that and it's never actually come up before I'd suggesting contacting PayPal to see if there is a setting you can modify on that end. Thanks.
I did ask PayPal and they just said that I could pass a value "lc" with a value of "GB" along with the order details and that would set the PayPal payment page to English.
Obviously as DT Register is handling the passing of the details to PayPal, I'm not sure how to add a new hidden field called "lc" that would get passed to PayPal.
Is there anyway of getting DT Register to pass an extra 'fixed' field to PayPal in order to set the default payment language, or should I stop wasting anymore time on this?
Hi,
I have V2.8.10 (Joomla 2.5.17) linked to our UK Paypal account and have had reports of UK visitors being directed to a Dutch Paypal page on checkout.
Being able to pass a default language would be helpful.
Thanks,
Andrew.
