I've noticed on a few registrants, the lack of email in the email field in the Registration Records Manager. The record has an attached userID, which has an email, but nothing visible on the user panel or csv export.

This happens when either on the frontend or backend when a change is made to the record. Any change-- payment, fields, etc. removes the email.

Suggestions?

Still having issues with this-- and actually thinking it might be a bigger problem than initially thought.

We were planning on doing course completion certificates (html) through the email registrants function; however, cannot send to all registered. After going in and editing records, something causes the email to be disassociated from the record. The userid still shows up, but the email is removed and we are not able to send emails to them (email registrants or resend thanks).

I am using CB 1.8, Joomla 2.5.4, DTRegister 2.7.15b.

I tried replicating the error on a test site that does not have CB and did not get the same result (email address was there). Anyone?

Turned out to be a simple mistake and it only took three years to figure out...
Fields --> email -->Publish-->Yes,
Hidden-->Yes,
All Events--> Yes, &
Show-->both

Wow, this post was very old and never replied to. Very sorry that it happened that way!

Yes, the default "email" field is REQUIRED to be used... and current versions of DT Register make it very difficult to get around using that field. Not only will nothing show in the list of records when not using that field, but emails will not function correctly either as the user confirmation emails (and others) go to that email address. Glad you found it.
