TOPIC: CB fields created during DT Register install

Hi,

I'm developing my first Joomla 1.7 site using Community Builder, CBSubs and DT Register. So far so good.

I noticed upon installation of DT Register that a whole bunch more cb fields were created, some of which are unique (such as credit card info, etc). However a number of them came is as duplicates of fields already there like name, address, country, etc.

Question: Is it safe to delete rather than simply disable these duplicate fields? Or it it better to use the ones your intall added rather than the ones already there?. I am aware there is the profile sync tool to tie together the two sets of fields

You can safely remove any of those CB fields that you don't want/need. It auto-creates them as you don't get any of them out of the box with CB and it saves people time But delete away as needed.

Great and thanks for that. the credit card fields I'll hang onto for future use.

If its not too much trouble, could you list the ones created by the DT register install?
