TOPIC: [SOLVED] Wont install joomla 1.7

I just bought DT Register and tried to install.

I unzipped the first file and all but the com will install.
I'm not using jom or cb and haven't attempted to install those plgs

Anyone got any obvious answers?

Most likely this is a PHP restriction issue. The DT Register package is bigger than most extensions. Check your setting for upload_max_filesize. This must be larger than 2M. Have your host assist with increasing this if you can't do it yourself. 99.5% of the time, this is the problem. Thanks.

I got that sorted by including a PHP.ini file in the tmp folder and installing from that directory (public_html/tmp/dt package). Then I got an error (See below).

So I uninstalled and reinstalled from the 'Install Package' option.

I still get the error.
Is there a solution to this issue. The rest of the website is fine.

tt_chatter - as given in your ticket... the problem was a failure to read the readme.txt file issue

You had installed our two JomSocial plugins but you do not have JomSocial. You had one of those plugins enabled... so it was trying to process the plugin after a successful registration. I removed the plugins and you will be fine now.
