TOPIC: Migrate events during site redesign?

How could we migrate our events to a new install of Joomla?

We have DT Register installed and working with about 100 events. We are rebuilding our site in Joomla 2.5.3 on new hosting and are wondering how we could migrate the events?

Could we export a mysql table from old site and import into new mysql DB?

I was able to do it recently, there is squat level of support on how to do so, especially since they are now warning us that they are going to be dropping further updates for 1.5.

You need to export the SQL tables to a file. Change the prefix to match the new sites SQL prefix. Once you have done that if you try to access events to make adjustments it will say you lack the credentials to do so. IIRC all I had to do was go in and open then save all your configurations, don't need to make changes, just save again.

Try that and let me know if it didn't work, so I can actually go back and retrace my steps.
