Hi

I am looking for a booking/ticket system that i could use but have a few questions to get my head around how this works.

So first i want to look at it from a customer side.

1. When i register, do i get a mail with a e-ticket?
2. When i pitch up to the event, what do i have to show that i am registered?

Now i am looking from the event organisers side

1. How do i check that someone has a ticket. The actual place where the event is might be somewhere with no power or internet access - is there a list that i could print to tick off as people come in? I want to make sure that people did buy a ticket and don't just say they have or have copied from someone else?

Thus i actually want to know practically how the process follows?

hope you understand what i mean.

thanks

The user receives a confirmation email that you customize. It will dynamically include data from the registration based on what you setup. You can even make this even custom PER EVENT. It can include all the user details, payment info, confirmation number, barcode, etc.

The user can print off the email they receive, which again includes whatever you have put on it to include. Every record has a unique confirmation number. You can also attach files that are sent to the user with the confirmation email.

The admin can see all records in the Joomla admin side. Now, if you don't have access to a computer, you can (prior to the event) export a CSV file from DT Register... select the event(s) to include, then select all of the needed fields, then export the file. That also would include the unique confirmation number. Having that at the event, you could check names / confirmation numbers of the people against your data sheet.

If you have other questions, let us know.

thanks for the answers - just one more - i am from south africa, can i work in ZAR with DT register. Paypal do not accept payments in ZAR and thus the software have to convert it to $ before payment. Will DT register be able to do this?

DT Register has multiple currency options to choose from, but it does no currency conversions prior to sending to PayPal. I believe you can work that out within the PayPal account itself. Not sure on that one exactly though.
