I run training courses and currently use SOBI to Virtuemart to eWay using eWays stored payment facility.
I am considering switching to your product. But need to know that I can use dth Register with eWays self hosted stored payment so that customers book and then I take the payment when the course has met minimum numbers and is confirmed to go ahead.
Also I intend to select courses by Course Type, City and Month by having a drop down selection module in the sidebar plus DT Registers own page. Is the module selector possible?
And last thing what is your best guess for the release of DT Reg 2.7 as I would prefer DT Reg without JEvents?
Hello. eWay hosted payments is included in DT Register, but the STORED option is not included.
Currently, DT Register has filter options with the event listing view for Category (type), Month, Year. There is not a location filter... yet. Some people work locations into the category structure for the purpose of filtering... as you can do two-level categories, this is often a good option.
You can also setup menu items that list only events of selected categories. Our upcoming events module will show X events from selected categories also.
Version 2.7 will hopefully be out within a couple of weeks. Working hard to finish it! Thanks.
Stored payment is a show stopper for me. When I started with Virtuemart I just changed it so that it pointed to
https://www.eway.com.au/gateway/xmlstored.asp
instead of
https://www.eway.com.au/gateway/xmlpayment.asp
and it worked. Would that work for DT Register or would you need to build a stored payment plugin that is not currently available? And if that's the case when/will you be building one?
As you suggest I can probably work around the no location filter until one is developed.
Will probably wait a couple of weeks until 2.7 is released then check back with you.
From what I'm reading in the eWay documentation, I think making that change as you said in the code should do the trick. I'll tell you this... if you purchase and making this change does NOT work, we'll assist you to do what is needed to make it happen. This should work fine though I believe.
Further to my previous questions. Is there any way to transfer the information captured in DT Reg to a CRM system such as ACT! by sage instead of manually typing/copy&paste?
There is no direct export into any other external system. You can generate a custom CSV export file however, which you can hopefully use to import data into your system.
