Hi,

I'm using another joomla plugin at the moment but it doesn't fit my needs (simplecaddy).

I would like to use DT for a user to purchase a day trip. There is a page about the day trip:
http://www.play4lifestyle.co.uk/index.p ... &Itemid=53

Then the purchase info. If possible I would like the purchaser to click on purchase event, be forwarded to a page where they can pick a date that the admin has free (hopefully the admin can choose to block certain dates?), then go on to pay.

Is this possible with DT?

Hello. You would setup the event spanning the dates that it is being offered. Then create a custom field that shows available dates... this could be a dropdown, checkboxes or radio buttons. The admin would create this field and set a limit on each date option given... this could be 1 or whatever else. That means that once the date is chosen in a registration, it applies to that limit. Once the limit is reached, that date option would no longer show as an option. You can set a price value on each option (if needed) so the price charged is calculated based on the date(s) chosen.

Also, the custom field data will be included in the emails that are sent out. Thanks.

Hi,

The thing is each day trip at first would be bookable on any day. So the day trips all have to be available on all days until it is booked.

Like so:

Day trip 1 page 1 (on its own page)
Details of trip
How much trip is
Enter number of people booking (the more people the bigger discount)
Select date (all dates available at first, until booked or deleted by admin)
Purchase trip

Day trip 2 page 2 (on its own page, not on same as day trip 1)
Details of trip
How much trip is
Enter number of people booking (the more people the bigger discount)
Select date (all dates available at first, until booked or deleted by admin)
Purchase trip

Would it work like this?

It would be displayed a little differently...

You could create an article giving full details of the event. Assign the article to the event. The bottom of the article will have a Register button added. From there...

1) User would select if they are registering as an individual or as a group
2) Then if an individual, they'd begin filling out the form. On this form would be the custom field to select from all available dates.

If a group, the user would enter data for member 1, member 2, member 3, etc. Then would get the final billing page which would show the price of the registration, which is based on the number of people in the group.

3) Next page would be the confirmation page showing all data entered and final calculated price.

4) After submitting and paying, the record is created and emails are sent.
