Let me see if I can clearly explain what I'm wanting to do... I'm sure some of this is listed on the features, but I want to make absolutely sure I'm interpreting the list correctly! I will be integrating with JEvents and maybe Acajoom.
The functions I need are the following (some of these may be handled by JEvents rather than DTReg?):
1. The ability for venues or individuals to post events and receive the registration payments (money would go to the users, not the website itself).
2. Possibility for the website to get a % of registration sales money. This is something I could work around, but would simply be icing and a cherry on top.
3. Ability to filter events by geographic location.
4. Any user account can post events and manage their own registration options - not rely on a web admin to post things for them although I'm sure some templating would be required initially for the users to follow.
5. Preset categories that events can be listed under. (ie: web admin could set up categories such as dog, cat, bird, etc that the individual posting the event can select during creation of their event) Multiple category selection allowed?
1. There is not frontend administration of the events... yet. However, each event can have its own payment info as needed.
2. The payments are not split between multiple accounts. This is something we can consider for future development.
3. Filter is currently by category. Many people setup the categories as locations and such so they can filter by whatever they need. There is 2-level category structure as well.
4. Answered above... JEvents does allow frontend administration of an event, but that would only add it to your calendar. All registration functionality currently is done in the backend of DT Register.
