Hello,
I have read many reviews and the knowledge base but haven't come across an answer to my question. Hopefully, you can help me out. I'll give you a basic rundown of what I am trying to accomplish, as I think this is the easiest way to ask the question.

Essentially, I would like to have all the events viewable to the public, but you must create a user account, which would require a one time payment to create the account. A potential customer would not be provided with an actual account until the amount is paid. Once the payment is made, the user account is created and they can use the events registration and the majority of the classes would be free, while some others would require an additional fee.

I think your component satisfies my needs as far as pricing the actual events as either free or at a cost, but will it allow me to require payment upon registration and the ability to ensure people pay before they can register for any classes?

If your component does not do this on its own, is there another joomla tool, that, when combined with yours will meet these requirements?

I thank you for your time and look forward to your response. If you need any clarification on my question, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks

Hello. DT Register does not do user subscriptions or user account creation. In DT Register you can set the event as Private... which means it is still viewable to the public, but when someone tries to register for the event that is NOT logged into your site, they'll get a customizable message telling them they must login first. You can use a different component for the user account creation and payment. You can create a link in the DT Register message that users can click to go create their account too. There are various options for user account subscriptions. Personally, I haven't used one so I can't make a solid suggestion. Maybe another user here can. Hope this gets you moving in the right direction.
