I am working for a festival and wanted to use DTRegister as the main admin for processing event booking registrations through a Joomla powered site.

When one is taking payments for event bookings, is it possible to take user's credit card details securely and then process them offline with a regular credit card machine etc? Or is one obliged to got through authrorize.net.

Also, as we're based in Ireland, we use Laser Card payments frequently, is there a way to implement this, or have you planned any support for this Irish form of payment.

Hello. We do not currently have support for that gateway. What you COULD do is create custom fields for card number, expiration date, etc... then setup the payment type as "Pay Later". You can modify the pay later options in the language file so you could change (for example) "Pay at the Door" to "Offline Credit Card Payment" or something like that. The record would be created and marked as NOT PAID in the backend. Once you process the payment, you can mark it paid.

You should setup a SSL certificate for your domain and use the instructions in this forum to force any DT Register url to use the secure connection. Thanks.
