I want my users to be able to easily submit an event. Is this possible?

Hello! DT Register has a detailed permissions structure so you can control by user groups who has access to what functionalities. Almost all functions of DT Register can be handled in the frontend. For event management, users that have access to it, can do every aspect of it from the frontend... and all options seen for an event are the same on the frontend as you'd see on the backend.

So the capability is there, yes.
