TOPIC: Can DTRegister/DTDonate work for a walk/bike ride fundraiser?

I'm looking to put a solution together that would allow an individual or a team sign up for an event, a bike ride fundraiser, and would allow them to have individual pages per person, or per team where they can share the page with their friends/family to solicit donations for their cause. The person or team would set a goal of money to raise, and then on their individual page or team page you'd see where they are in comparison to their goal.

Would any of the DTH Development products, or a combination of them, fit these requirements?

Currently there isn't a complete solution for that scenario. Given how you want participants to promote donations to friends/family you almost would be better off using the Facebook donation app for that. It has limitations in that PayPal is the only payment method that is accepted and it is only one method for using social media. Certainly DT Register can be used to handle registrations for the bike ride event as it can handle individual and group registrations. Our DT Donate extension would allow you to accept donations for a single entity but it isn't set up to integrate with DT Register to allow registrants to create donation campaigns. We can look at developing a plugin that would allow the registration process to create a donation page on facebook for each completed registrration. If you are interested in us looking into that can you log into our support system and create a ticket for Customizations work?
