I have a site set up where users have to pay membership dues before they can even access the events to register for and therefore see the other attendees with the 'attendees' button
My question is now...(since I'm still fairly new to DTR)
is there a way to restrict attendees viewing to only registered site users?
so if someone - that is not a paid site member, not a registered site user - can they register for the event and NOT see the attendees/attendees button?
therefore reserving the privilege of seeing other event attendees to those people that have legitimately registered to use the site.
I don't recall seeing this in parameters but could have missed it.
I will most likely be purchasing a new license of this component for this new site and would like to know the answer to provide to client.
Hello. In the main configuration area, you can set the access level for the attendees button as Public, Registered or Special. If the user doesn't have appropriate access, they will not see the attendees button.
Sounds like you have an older version, probably from before this was an option
I have recently updated to 2.7.14 and in that site -- it's managed by CBSubs so that no events are available to even register for or be viewed unless the site user has paid their dues. So therefore, the attendees button is only viewable by fellow site members - and I didn't need to configure its access
