How does the sync with Jevents work? If you create the event in DT Register, do you have the same options for creating events that you do in Jevents? If you select a DT Register category, does that create event with the same category in Jevents?

Syncing with JEvents is optional. The easiest way to manage is to NOT use JEvents, but if you really want to use it, you can.

When you sync with JEvents, it works like this:
- create the event in JEvents (non-repeating)
- go to DT Reg event management and create a new event. Select "JEvents Sync" and it will give you a selection of eligible events from JEvents. The event title, date and times are pulled from JEvents.
- all of the rest of the setup for registration comes from DT Register. Everything else in JEvents is ignored. Categories, locations, pricing, etc all comes from DT Register (no connection or sync with those items in JEvents). While you can see title, date and time in DT Reg, you can't edit it. Those items must be managed in JEvents.

You really should use DT Register by itself unless there is some specific reason that you really NEED JEvents.

If you already have events setup in JEvents, you setup everything in DT Register as described above. Once everything is synced... you can use our "JEvents Unsync" tool and it will then have everything completely in DT Register with no more connection to JEvents. Then you can move forward without JEvents. DT Reg does have a calendar view also.
