TOPIC: Groups/permissions and search result

Hi,

DR register look like the tool that I am looking for but i still have a couple of questions:

1. Is het posssible to configure multiple groups? Our scenario will use 4 groups that require different funcionality: registerd partners need to be able to post seminars/workshops they offer, "normal" users on the site need to register for the posted events but are not allowed to post events, and super users will be able to register for other individuals or groups. Can this be done by default with DT register? if not what do you expect the ammount of work will be to have this modified?

2. Is it possibel to modify the search function to be more intiutive somewhat to the google style where you are presented with suggestions while typing your search criteria?Can this be done by default with DT register? if not what do you expect the ammount of work will be to have this modified?


3. Is it possible to configure the way the search result is displayed. We probably need some kind of a list showing the available seminars/workshops available with intiutive filter options. The fields shown in the search result should ideally be adjustable based on the type of workshop searched for. ?Can this be done by default with DT register? if not what do you expect the ammount of work will be to have this modified?

Hello...

1. DT Register has conditional fields so your form structure has much more capability than any other Joomla solution. Based on the user's selection in Field X, they'll then see appropriate additional fields. Regarding frontend posting of events, DT Reg has a detailed permissions structure where you can setup based on each user type who has permission to do what features (creating events, editing events... which can be limited to only their own events if needed, managing fields, categories, etc). This permission structure affects both frontend and backend.

2. The search feature presently is pretty simple. We'd like to develop a separate search MODULE that has more parameters and such to work with. We haven't dug into this yet much to see what all would be involved.

3. The search results display the list of events just like normal, but only show the events that fit the search parameters. Currently available filters are for category, location and month/year.
