Hey all,

I have a few queries about dt register before I go ahead and purchase this component.

My first query regards the modules/plug ins provided with dt register...

i) When a user is logged in to my website I would like to display a calendar/list (in the form of a module) that shows all the upcoming events that particular user has registered for. I.e. I do not want something that displays ALL of the upcoming events on my site - just the one's the user has registered for.

ii) I would also be interested in a module that displays upcoming events in that particular user's area. So for example, a user may log in to my site who is from London - they would then see a module that displays upcoming events in London (and NOT other areas such as Manchester)

Are either of the above possible?

My second query regards the scope of jomsocial integration with dt register...

i) I understand that your current compatibility with jomsocial allows users to display their registered events on their profile and their activity stream. I would also however, like jomsocial group owners to create events through that group and invite group members - is this functionality in current development?

ii) I understand there is currently no ability to allow users to create their own events through the front end of the site - is this also in development?

iii) The latest version of dt register is still compatible with jevents. Jevents I believe allows group owners to create events for that particular group in jomsocial - can I therefore integrate dt register and jevents in this way?

iv) Is there any planned integration of dt register with jomsocial's built in events functionality to allow the two to work seemlessly together?

Sorry - I am aware that's a lot of questions, but your responses will be much appreciated.

Alex

Hello... for the module questions...

1) We have an upcoming events module that will list events, but not one that lists only events that the logged in user has registered for.

2) Also not available to have a list that auto-populates based on the the logged in user's location.

JomSocial questions...

1) Group events in JomSocial are not supported yet. We will be working more in that direction over the coming months.

2) Frontend event management has been available since the launch of DT Reg 2.7 in Nov. 2010. You can setup permissions for what users / user groups have permission to do certain functions for creating events, categories, locations, etc.

3) JEvents is no longer required, but still an option to sync with. DT Register adds registration functionality to a JEvents event when you use the sync option. This requires first creating the event in JEvents, but then it has to be setup separately through DT Register to add the main functionality.

4) Possibly, nothing in the works right now, but possibly later. Next step will be a plugin that will show "My Events" inside of JomSocial so the user can list their own managed events that they've created in DT Register and provide access to them from their profile. That is coming.

Thanks :)
