I need to test your JomSocial Demo but can't find one. I only see CB. Could you please let me know.
Also I was testing your CB demo and I am trying to understand why there is a $20 charge added to the registration price for Select your Age Group: $20.00. See the example below:
Registration: Basketweaving Seminar (05-25-2011 08:00 AM)
Please check the data below and confirm that everything is correct. If so, click the NEXT button. If not, click the BACK button below and make the necessary corrections.
Your total Registration cost: $ 44.00
Registration Fee: 1 x $ 10.00
If you want to purchase a shirt for this event, select the type: $ 10.00
Basket Size: $ 4.00 Select your Age Group: $ 20.00
Correct, JomSocial is not loaded on our demo site... but the integration works the same as with Community Builder. You sync fields in Configuration so data from the profile can auto-populate into the DT Reg forms. Then the user can see a simple registration history in their profile... looks just like what you see in the CB profile.
The fields you are referring to on the demo site are fields that other people have generated. ANY selection field (checkbox, radio button, dropdown) can have fees/discounts associated with each value. I don't know why, but someone created that field just as a test. Nothing to be worried about. You can created an age selection field... or whatever else... and NOT put fees on it. It's all in the setup of each field. Thanks.
Thank you. I assume it works but would have been nice to test it first. Your demo only offers User Profile Integration with CB or No(ne) so I am still not sure if in my case the integration should be set on No or the option will be automatically populate if JS is installed.
Also would it be possible to set JomSocial users as moderators so they can publish their own events and bill them for the fees and charges or have the payments go through my account and then I remit the funds after the event is closed?
SuperEvents for example offers ticket selling by all users without any site admin moderation. They have their own set of problems but what I am saying is it would be nice to implement into DT Register and allow users to sell tickets and the site to collect some revenue on sales, fixed charge and/or commission.
If you have the dth-jomsocial plugin installed then there will be an option to select JomSocial for User Profile Integration.
You can set it so that any registered user can add an event. The front end registration setup can be tricky though so you will need to provide your users some good directions. When setting up the event, the user would need to select among the payment options that you have setup so you can either have it so that all payments go through your payment processors and then you remit funds to the event organizer or you can set up the event organizers own payment processors (eg, event organizers paypal address) so that payments go directly to the event organizer.
