I currently use a standard shopping cart for event registrations but would like to switch to DT Register. In playing with the demo, I can't seem to find this option although it seems like it would be needed.
Within a single event, is it possible to limit the number of tickets sold at a certain price based on quantity? For example, I have an event that has a capacity of 200 people. The first 50 tickets should be sold at $50, the second 50 at $60, and the remaining 100 at $70. Is there someway to accomplish this?
Another way to think of this is that I have 50 seats on the floor at $100, 50 seats in the balcony at $80, and 100 standing room only spaces at $50. Basically I need to be able to control inventory levels within an event's options. Is there a way to accomplish this? Thanks!
Hello. There is not a way currently to base the price of the event on how many tickets have been sold. If you really were selling 50 seats in section A, 50 seats in section B, etc... you could give different prices as you could give the user a selection of which area to purchase a seat in. No problem with that example... so if that is really what you are shooting for, you can do this with fee fields as you can add fees/discounts to selection field values and also specify how many times each value is able to be selected (like a capacity on each field value). However, that is not based on the number of total tickets purchased. Thanks.
You can probably use that method to achieve the "first 50 tickets cheap" type scenario as well.
Just make 50 cheaper tickets available & have them at the top of the list. Then it's up to the people registering to select the cheap ones first until they are all gone...
