As is normal for our development here, we have released yet another improved package for DT Register, the leading event registration / booking solution for Joomla. There are a number of new features added in this release as well as a new round of fixes and improvements. All users should update as soon as possible. Check out more details and the full announcement to see the rest...
- Added a new advanced search module for both 1.5 and 1.7. This allows you to put an events search into a module position and give your users the ability to search your events from any page. There are optional filters to include for category, location and moderator.
- Added a new timezone display option! Many have requested this, so here it is! In the main configuration, you select the timezone for your events and set whether or not you want to display timezones at all. The default is No. Then within each event, you can also set a timezone if you need a different zone for that event than the one set globally. The timezone setting is display only and does not alter any date/time calculations.
- Added an attendance check to each member of a group registration to further enhance the recently added ability to have a unique confirmation number and barcode for each member.
- Added new group rate calculation options in the main configuration. Now you can set whether fees/discounts get applied to each member or the group as a whole. This can be set separately for each of the following items: late fee, early bird discount, member discount, discount/coupon codes, and partial payments.
- Fixed terms & conditions popup issue that was experienced on some 1.7 sites.
- Fixed cart issue where dropping an event from the cart did not always remove it from the session and could cause issues with features like the overlapping event check.
- Fixed some category management issues seen on some 1.7 sites.
- Fixed issues in the Dutch language translation for 1.7.
- Modifications made to the JQuery usage to try and reduce the chances of conflicts with other extensions and templates.
- Other miscellaneous fixes and improvements were made throughout.
- For those that are behind on updates, see the announcements category of the forum to see other items that were added or fixed in other previous updates.
NOTE: After upgrading, be sure to re-save your configuration as there are new parameters that you need to set and save!! Also, there are new database elements so just updating files will not complete this upgrade. You need to do a reinstall.
Where can I download these updates??
Glad you asked... Login to our site, go to My Orders. Next to your order details you will see a Download link. This link always pulls the latest package that is available. You have access to this link for one year from purchase. If your order is no longer active, you would need to make a new purchase to get any further updates. After downloading the update, be sure to follow the upgrade instructions in the readme file. Important note is you will need to have upgraded first.
Make sure you read the docs inside of the new package and follow the instructions for upgrading!! As always, we are working hard continually to make our extensions better and better. More new features are already in the works!! Thanks for your ongoing support!
We made updated the package... for any 1.7 user that already updated, you should download and reinstall. Sorry for any inconvenience. Two issues were found:
- calendar not loading due to some other feature changes that are in the works
- deleting a user from the permissions matrix was not working
So if you've already updated to 2.7.10 in Joomla 1.7 and either of those two items will affect you, download again. Otherwise, don't sweat it
