TOPIC: [SOLVED] Weird character

The very first 3 characters in /components/com_dtdonate/dtdonate.php are special characters. They actually looked like UTF-8 stuff. I simply deleted those 3 special characters in a unix based text editor (pico). I had installed it through Joomla's install system from a zip downloaded from this site, so I think it's safe to say those chars were introduced by the vendor supplied file. -John

I just downloaded and installed the DT Donate component and since I assume I have the latest download because I was just emailed it today 2/10/2008 and i am also getting the wierd characters at the top of the donation pages. Can you please tell me who to reliably fix this. i opened up the page you said to look at in Frontpage and looked at the code and I do NOT see these characters in the code in the first line or any line for that matter. see image attached to see what I am seeing.

Sorry for this inconvenience. We found the characters, have removed them and updated the install file. Please download DT Donate 2.1.2 again and the "weird characters" will be gone. Thanks.

where do i go to download the new file at?

Just login to your account, go to "My Orders" and click the download link.

I just bought this component myself... got the error, did as the admin said (re-download)... but I am still getting the error... Any other suggestions?
