TOPIC: Multiple Iterations of Donate in one Joomla Installation

This might be a stupid question. We have purchased DTdonate for our application and we think it will work just great. We have a similar need , albeit, in functionality and not a donation so to speak on the same site Is there a way to have two instances of DTDonate running in the same install? Since DT billing might be able to be configured to do what we need let me be more specific. We want to allow relatives of our patients to be able to sign on and make a payment for their relative. The application we need is no different than donate. We don't need to present the amount due or anything. Just Name, Credit Card Info and Amount. Thanks for any help.

Well, the only way to have ANY component run in duplicate is to make a physical copy of the component. It would have to have a different name and every file be renamed and code modified to access files in the copied component directory. For example, you could have com_dtdonate and then com_dtdonate_copy. This is the only way to run a component twice in the same site. We've done this for a component before but it is a lot of work.

Why can't the relatives just use DT Donate as is? They don't have to login. You could add a custom field where the donator can insert the name of who the donation is for... or maybe an account number. Hope this helps.
