Let's make sure your data can't be lost again!

We host crashplan, which backs up every 15 minutes by default. I'll be glad to offer you a free seat on our server for up to 75GB of data.

Let us know if we can be of service

Please Clarify the README Installation instructions:

Upgrading from 2.69 or older
4. Uninstall the current version of DT Register. Your records, events, configuration, etc will NOT be removed. Files are
replaced but all data is left alone.

Does this mean install JUST the component, or everything?
You need to clarify this please. Plugin, modules...?

sfsailing - the component install does not load any modules or plugins. Component only. As everything else is optional to use, they are installed separately as needed.

For now my project is between ground and heaven, because I'm not sure if I should create events in the 2.69 (seems to be stable), or wait until the stable 2.7 will come. Once the process of taking payments is launched it can't be stopped.

P.S. Also we need a member-only thread. Now all bugs are reported using tickets and I want to know what bugs are discovered by the others to be able to pay more attention on this on my site also. We need a kind of bugs log.
Yootheme team do this way and I swear I don't remember a bug in their stable versions.

I think some of your ideas would make sense
Certainly any known issues and especially - regression issues would be useful to know they exist...

but to be fair to the DTH team...
surely you take files and database backups before any upgrade?

So if you do have a problem you would restore back to the start?

as far as 2.7 vs. 2.6.9 - surely you go for 2.6.9 and create and take payments until you are happy you have tested and have a stable 2.7
any DTR upgrade 'should' preserve any records.

My issue with this one was that I did backups
BUT the FTP backup of files reported no errors but when I came to use it - it had missing files???
Also my component LazyBackup which emails a SQL backup of the database seems to have issues when restored
so I was in a mess and what I needed was info on what each version of DTR does to files and database as I was facing partial restores and manual patching of files and data to get to the start again

by the way if anyone knows a more reliable FTP client than FileZilla - please let me know - this was scary and lasted till 2:30am this morning and now I am hoping it is back to the start... :?
