TOPIC: [SOLVED] Paypal IPN & Registration bug

Hi,

I upgraded to the latest version and posted a support ticket as well but I still need help as my issue is still not resolved.

When I register to an event as a logged-in user without any payment everything works fine.
When I register to an event whether logged in or not when the paypal payment is required I am redirected to Paypal and complete the payment, then return to the site through the following url: index.php?option=com_dtregister&task=payment&type=paypal_payreturn&userId=&amount=1.00&Itemid=306&eventId=154
I do get the thank you page, but no data is saved in the database, no user is created, no email is sent.

This is really urgent, I really appreciate your help!

I also have this problem.

When I use paypal, after paying and selecting, Return to ..., it directs me to the custom thank you page.

I receive the paypal receipt, no registration email to customer or admin
No information in database

Using IE8
Lastest version of dtregister (Downloaded on Saturday, Oct 30th, 2010)

Guys, please download the latest package, which was updated today. It is 2.6.9c. If your issue persists, continue through a ticket.

Also, make sure that Auto-return is OFF in PayPal. Based on the previous comment, kind of sounds like you were describing an automatic redirect from PayPal back to Joomla. That WILL cause problems and must be disabled if it's on.

Is there any way to fix this issue without updating? I have made very heavy modifications and updating would undo all the work that has been put into this.

Could you please post the code I need to change in order to make the paypal redirection work?
