TOPIC: "Attend the event : yes or no" in the registration form

Hi,

I am now working on a test site for a client based on DT register and stuck on one problem. My client has a list of persons which he wants to invite for one of his events. So the process will be the following:

1) We upload the participants personnal info into CB
2) We send an e-mail to all the participants with their login & password and ask them to fill the DT registration form.

But is it possible to put in the DT registration form a custom field that would be like "Do wish to attend this event ? > YES > NO" ?
If the user selects "Yes", the rest of the form is displayed.
If the user selects "No", can we change his status to "canceled" ... or any option that would allow us to see which registered users will attend, and which won't ?

Also would it be possible to configure seperate e-mails whether users decide to attend or not ?

You could create a custom field for the Yes/No question, then use conditional fields to have other data show up IF the user selects Yes. However, you can't make record status based on a custom field... emails either. You'd have to change the status manually.

The best method would be an added feature allowing users to just mark that they do not plan to attend, then have a process setup for how to handle that. After 2.7 is done, we could look at that possibly.

I was just wondering, would there be any way to accomplish that with your "DT Register MyScript" plugin ? (just changing the status, not sending seperate e-mails)

You should be able to change the status with MyScript. Just know that you are on your own for creating the necessary script
