TOPIC: Changes to language file not showing

I've changed the text label for GROUP_NUMBER as follows in the ini language file:

GROUP_NUMBER=Enter Number of Adults AND Children for your Booking EXCEPT under 3yrs olds who attend FREE:<br/><br/>

However it's not showing up in the frontent (I had modified it before, to say "Enter number of adults AND children for your booking:") and the change showed up. Now it's still showing this old one and not the above one.

I cleared the Joomla cache and my web browsers cache but it is still not showing the change to the language file.

Any help appreciated.

That text comes from nowhere else but that language file. Either you modified a wrong file, reloaded the modified file to the wrong place, or have some type of cache issue. If the file was correctly modified, it would not be possible to still show the old text. It doesn't exist anywhere else

Correct file would be:
/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_dtregister.ini

Yup that's the one I changed ( ...language/en-GB/en-GB.com_dtregister.ini )
I can't have modified the file in the wrong place because it's the exact text I had modified before (so this is the 2nd time I've changed it). The 2nd changes just aren't showing.
I cleared Joomla cache, cleared Chrome browser cache and force reloaded the page - no change. I tried Firefox, IE and Safari - still no change
Wondering if it isn't something to do with the FTP / host...

Maybe your changes are not being saved on the server side. If the modified text was in the file on the server, it would show. Maybe try deleting the language file completely from the server, then reloading your version. The problem has to be somewhere along those lines. DT Register will show whatever is in the loaded file... and nothing else.

Yup must be a server related problem - just deleted it and my old custom line is still there... sent an email to the hosting company - will let you know the answer / solution here!
