TOPIC: online classes

I would like to offer online classes that do not require a start and stop with traditional classroom courses. I think the best way would be to create events for each course that had a very long end date. then let people register anytime and this would keep the event almost permanently in the site. Hoewever my problem is that is still shows a Date is there any way I can remove that from showing when someone pulls it up or replace the dates

Yes, you'll just have to give a long date as you described. Then within the DT Reg configuration, you can select to NOT show the event date with the event name so it will not show in the title through the registration process. You can also hide the date in the event listings. The hide date parameter is global, so if you need the date in only SOME events, then I'd suggest setting the system to hide the date, then include the date in the actual event name for those events where it's needed.
