Using the product (love it) and have live registration open right now.
I just had a registrant contact me indicating they left their CPU with registration form open to ask someone else a question regarding a conditional field I have set-up (which is required). When they came back (~15 minutes later) she was re-prompted with the demos screen, filled it out, then received the "Thank You" message without giving the option to fill out the conditional fields.
I realize this description is based on the users info to me, but upon looking at registration records, I see her entry. It does not have any of the conditional fields filled out and has a payment type of "FREE" and record status active. I only have mail in payment and PayPal as options. Any idea of what happened here? I am using 2.6.7.
One... you really should upgrade to 2.6.8. There are a few conditional field bugs that have been addressed. When you upgrade, you won't lose any data, so no worries there. Just follow the upgrade instructions in the readme file after downloading the latest build from My Orders.
Two... this user most likely experienced a session issue. You can increase the session lifetime in the Joomla global configuration. Increasing this time will reduce the chances of someone walking about for a few minutes and losing registration data.
Thanks for the suggestions. I've done both. Still not sure why it would populate into my records as a FREE registration, but hopefully it will not occur again.
