TOPIC: Mail function error

When a user registers for an event, the registration goes through fine, but I'm not getting a confirmation email. This error appears when the user registers: Could not instantiate mail function.

Any idea what might be causing it? The contact form on my site is working fine, so I don't think it's a host sendmail error.

What version of DT Register are you using? Either you have an older version that contains a bug that has been fixed... or it's a mail setting in Joomla. Download the latest build from My Orders if you are not already updated. That'd be your first step.

Sorry for not providing specifics with my post. I'm running Joomla 1.5.20 and DT Register 2.6.8. So if it's a mail setting issue in Joomla, wouldn't I be having problems with other mail functions, like my contact form or my CB registration form (both of which work fine)?

In the list of installed components, does DT Register show "2.6.8" or the latest build which is "2.6.8e"? Make sure you have the latest build. If you do and still have an email issue, please submit a ticket with site access and as much detail as you know for replicating the issue. Thanks.
