checked and didn't find this in forums. Nothing shows up and you can't click in the text editor areas in Chrome

Check the following:
1) Should have the latest version of Joomla
2) Do not use the core TinyMCE editor. There's no reason to EVER use it. Use JCE... it's free and MASSIVELY better.

Using a good editor like JCE with a current version of Joomla, you should have no issue in any browser.

Also, don't use the FCK Editor. It's basically junk and causes all kinds of issues. :)

i'm doing both 1 and 2 and still nothing. I'll wait for new version and test again - right now I just use FF.

I've found that you usually need to click on the "show/hide" twice (not double click) in any of the message or email fields to get the jce to engage. This is almost always true in Safari, but Firefox often works as we would expect.

yeah, I'll chime in. There are several other extensions that give me issues in Chrome as well — it's not just DT Register. I'm perfectly okay using Firefox for Joomla admin work. The good news is that performance for the end user is great using Firefox 2+, Chrome, Safari and IE 7+.
