I have a 3-day event set up. it has multiple pricing options (member/non-member, earlybird, etc.) which range anywhere from $350 to $650
in addition to these options, the client now wants to offer a single day registration option for $100.
It is not clear to me if this can be accomplished with a custom field. Within the existing event framework, the 3-day pricing would have to be zeroed out .... then add $100
Does anyone have any ideas, or does a separate event need to be created?
I am wondering if there is another more elegant way to integrate the single day option into the current event
Hello. A custom field would work just fine. The field could be set to give a choice of days if needed, or just say single day, whatever you need. Then you could set the fee for the single day option as -250. So the base price is 350, but after single day is chosen, a 250 discount is applied, making the final cost only $100.
Watch our custom fields video tutorials (especially selection fields) to see examples of this and to make sure you do the setup correctly.
It was a little more complicated because I could not predict what the fee was going to be for any given visitor (depending upon if they are a member or not ... etc.)
However, what I did do was use a conditional field.
The registrants are asked if they are going to register for a Single Day or the Entire Event.
If they click Single Day, a -100% fee is set, a conditional radio button array opens. When they select the day, it has a fee of $100.
