Then that means the record is not associated with the user account. You can assign the record to a user by editing the record in the backend. If the user isn't logged in while registering for the event, then the record is assigned to that user. If they are creating a new user account DURING registration, it will also assign to that user.
You do need to update to the latest build of DT Register. If using the latest build and you have an issue with this, then submit a ticket.
