TOPIC: Secure In House Credit Card Payment

Hello:

I have a client that would like to collect the credit card details and manually process the transaction through a physical terminal afterwords. I am wondering how the SSL connection ties in with DT Register, and if there is existing functionality to collect credit cards and store them as part of the DT Register database for manually processing the transactions at a later date?

The only way to do this presently would be to create custom fields for gathering that data... card number, expiration date, etc. You would of course need to setup a SSL certificate on your site to make things secure. This data would be sent to the event admin in the email after registration is created. It would also be stored in the joomla database as all the other field data is.
