TOPIC: [SOLVED] Paypal works Authorize.net does not

I have set up the payment system for authorize.net and paypal, the authorize.net does not work, it gives me a 504 gateway timeout.

I have set up the key and id also have set the system live and verifyed that the SSL plugin is not in,
I have virtumart also installed and it works perfectly

Please advise on what I need to check

godaddy hosting was on by mistake

Yes, that setting is primarily due to Authorize.net and the fact that GoDaddy doesn't handle CURL like the rest of the hosting world. So yes, if you have that setting on but are fortunate enough to NOT be hosted with them... you WOULD have a problem. Glad you found it!

Just so you know I had a problem with my Joomla website registration to online payment for a week now that I just solved.

My website is hosted with Godaddy but for performance reasons they moved me to a grid server. Once that happened it broke my authorize.net payment method.

I finally fixed it by selecting NO to the question whether I have Godaddy Hosting. Apparently the grid server I got moved to does not need the Godaddy fix.

You should pass this along. For several days I went back and forth with authorize and godaddy and it was DT register all along.
