I am currently unable to add new events either via copying or via creating a totally new DTRegister (2.6.7e) event. I keep getting this same event.

I've just tried upgrading JEvents to 1.5.4 and get the same result.

This is very frustrating.

I just purchased DT Register yesterday and installed it and JEvents fresh today. I was able to create an event in JEvent, then map this to a new event in DT Register. As soon as I tried to go back and edit the event in DT Register, I observed the exact same symptoms as others on this thread. I uninstalled JEvent and DT Register, installed JCE and enabled it as my default editor, then reinstalled JEvent and DT Register, and everything in now working perfectly - thank you!

Thanks for posting that transwebt.

My actions have mimicked yours with the exception of I upgraded JEvents to 1.5.4 from 1.5.2 rather than uninstall/reinstall. JCE was set as my default editor when my uninstallation/reinstallation of DTRegister and the upgrade of JEvents happened.

In the time between my posts in this thread I was able to create events, but not edit them without the error popping up. However when I revisited the backend to make more events, I am now receiving this message even on new events.

I've opened up a ticket and hope to solve this problem.

Cheers!

Just yanked both JEvents and DTRegister and freshly installed them with no change in the problem.

Even clicking on old DTRegister events gives me the same error message. I can't seem to get around the problem this time. Have events to run on Tuesday and Wednesday nights too so am hoping I can either stumble across a fix (temporary or otherwise) or get a tip that'll help.

back to tinkering...

Hmm... Even though I have JCE as my default editor, when I click on New Event in IE8 I see that the elements being loaded are TinyMCE elements. This must be the problem the error message is referring to. However, why is clicking on New Event in DTRegister causing a call to TinyMCE when I've specifically set JCE as my default editor? I know JCE was built upon TinyMCE, but when pages requiring an editor are loaded, is it proper to see TinyMCE elements loading?

and to keep this problem mysteriously slippery, I was just able to put up my 4 events for this coming week *without* the error in IE8, but my main browser Chrome still pops the error message!

Guess I've got a little more time to get this resolved as I'm good for the upcoming week, but still looking for suggestions/tips on this one.

Cheers!

Although you set JCE as your default editor in the global config you still will have to change the editor in the usermanager Go to user manager click whatever your user name is and where the drop down menu says User Editor. Change it to JCE. After doing that it also removed the error that says "Could not find target element:
