TOPIC: can't assign a module

Hi,
Is it possible to assign a module to a registration page that is linked to from an external link on the main menu?

In other words, I'm able to assign a module if I begin with a menu item linked to a category, or list of events, but if I link directly to the registration page, I'm unable to place the module.

Modules in joomla can only be assigned to menu items, as each menu item has a unique itemid. You can't assign a module (or template) to anything else.
